December 23, 2012 | 0 Comments

What: Prairie Lights is a two mile stretch of decorations and festive fun featuring over 4 million lights, hundreds of new displays, an all-new Holiday Magic light show, new walk-through lighted displays, pictures with Santa, seasonal food and family fun. About halfway through the drive, Holiday Village has Santa, carnival rides (rides are included with the cost of admission), snacks, and souvenirs. Cars with up to eight people in them cost $15 Mon-Thu, $20 Fri-Sun and holidays. Limos and buses cost more. Santa is there nightly through December 23, 2011.

When: Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve each year. That’s Nov 22, 2012 through December 31.

Hours: Due to the high volume of cars on weekends, please allow for an extra hour to get through the park. Sun – Thurs: 6-9 p.m.; Fri-Sat 6-10 p.m.; Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve: 6-10 p.m.

Where: Lynn Creek Park is at 5700 Lake Ridge Pkwy in Grand Prairie. Take I-30 or I-20 to 360 and go south. Make a left of Camp Wisdom Rd and a right on Lake Ridge Pkwy.
