What is flexion-distraction therapy in chiropractic?

Hi, guys. This is Marco Abanico with Chiropractic Television.

Today, I’d like to talk about what flexion-distraction therapy is.

Flexion-distraction (F/D) therapy is a gentle, chiropractic treatment procedure utilized for back and neck pain. Flexion-distraction therapy is a safe alternative to back surgery for those 95% of patients whose conditions do not demand surgical intervention. The doctor is in control of the treatment movements at all times.

Flexion-distraction therapy is used for many conditions such as:

  • Failed Back surgery Syndromes
  • Disc Herniation
  • Ruptured Disc
  • Bulging Disc
  • Herniated Disc
  • Sciatica/Leg pain
  • “Whiplash” injuries
  • Stenosis
  • Arm Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Failed course of Steroid Injections
  • Chemical Radiculitis
  • Spondylolisthesis
  • Headache
  • Transitional segment

Many more conditions….

If any of these conditions apply to you, call me to see if flexion-distraction therapy is right for you.

My name is Marco Abanico with Chiropractic Television. I’ll see you in the next video.
