Problems relating to the bones, muscles, and ligaments in the vertebrae that support your head are very common in my daily practice here in Plano, TX. More and more people are utilizing my services for treating their pain and injuries for both their neck and spine. We don&#8217;t focus solely on your neck; we also look at your lifestyle, nutrition, stress management, and other health factors to determine all the possible causes of why your neck or back hurts. The following are some of the more common conditions I see when treating injuries or pain related to the neck.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Chiropractic Works on These Neck Conditions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whiplash injuries<\/li>\n<li>Spinal Stenosis<\/li>\n<li>Non surgical cervical disc injury<\/li>\n<li>Neck sprain injuries<\/li>\n<li>Spinal joint restriction<\/li>\n<li>Facet joint sprain<\/li>\n<li>Degenerative joint condition of the neck<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Chiropractic Alternative Treatments for Neck Pain<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once I&#8217;ve completed my exam, reviewed the x-rays, MRI (optional), and pinpointed the area that needs treatment, I can prescribe a specific therapy for helping the patient resolve their pain and return to normal activities. A significant amount of pain related issues that affect the spine and nerves can be treated with any combination of spinal manipulation (adjustments), massage therapy, cold laser, electric muscle stimulation, along with various chiropractic instruments that help speed the healing process.<\/p>\n<p>Use of\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.premierhealthclinic.net\/decompression-therapy.htm\" target=\"_new\">spinal decompression<\/a> adjustments will assist in returning your neck and your spine back to normal, helping muscles relax, resumed flexibility, normal blood flow, and lessening the pain. Beyond spinal decompression, there are various forms of subscribed therapy and specialized equipment and instruments I use to treat the wide range of neck conditions I listed above.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Forms of Manual Therapy<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>trigger point therapy<\/li>\n<li>manual joint stretching and resistance techniques<\/li>\n<li>therapeutic massage<\/li>\n<li>instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Along with adjustments and manual therapy, I will combine these with different instruments I use to treat muscle soreness and inflammation. These electronic devices are used to relax the muscles. You may have already heard these terms before, but here are (3) devices I use quite a bit:\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, and Cold Laser Therapy<\/span>. I don&#8217;t consider prescribing any treatment program without also recommending different therapeutic exercises my patients can do at home, both while I&#8217;m treating them and afterwards to make sure they prevent a recurrence of this from happening again.<\/p>\n<p>Prevention exercise is imperative for anyone who wants to enjoy long-term health and as your back and neck specialist I strongly emphasize it.
